Accepted

Kosu woke up, he had no memory of the figure or what had happened.

He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts, and continued discussing their plan to restore the situation between the Adventurer's Guild and the City Hall.

Kosu was determined to fix the situation, but he noticed that Jinpei seemed distracted.

"Jinpei, is something bothering you?"

Kosu asked.Jinpei hesitated for a moment before responding, "No, I'm fine.

I'm just thinking about something."

However, Jinpei was under a spell and could not tell Kosu about the mysterious figure or the offer he had received.

Even writing or other forms of communication were impossible. The next morning, Kosu comes back to Jinpei's hospital room to discuss their plan, but Jinpei can't tell him about the Silver Eclypse.

Kosu notices something is off with Jinpei's behavior, but he assumes it's due to his injuries. As the days pass, Jinpei tries to focus on his recovery, but his mind keeps wandering back to the Silver Eclypse's offer.

He can't shake off the feeling that he needs to take action, but he doesn't know how.Meanwhile, the Adventurer's Guild is under scrutiny from the City Hall for the failed mission and the escape of Dr.

Kuro.

The guild is struggling to clear its name and restore its reputation, and the wounded Sakura and Ryota are unable to help.Jinpei realizes that he's the only one who can do something about the situation.

He knows he's risking his own safety, but he can't sit idly by while his friends and the Adventurer's Guild suffer. That night, Jinpei walks the halls of the hospital, deep in thought.

He couldn't stop thinking about the offer from the Silver Eclypse.

The organization claimed they could help him, but he didn't know if he could trust them.

As he passes by the rooms of other patients, he sees the injuries of Sakura and Ryota and feels a surge of determination.

He knows he needs to do something to help his friends and the Adventurer's Guild.Suddenly, he hears a voice behind him.

"Thinking about your friends, are you?"

It's the mysterious figure from Silver Eclypse.

Jinpei turns around and sees the man leaning against the wall, watching him."

How did you know?"

Jinpei asks, surprised."

I know many things," the man replies cryptically.

"But what matters is that we can help you.

We can help your friends."

Jinpei considers the offer.

He knows he shouldn't trust this man, but he can't deny the desperation he feels to help Sakura and Ryota.

"What do you want me to do?" he asks cautiously. The man smiles.

"Just leave it to us.

We'll take care of everything.

And remember, you can't tell anyone about our conversation."

Jinpei nods, feeling a sense of unease, but also a glimmer of hope.He made a decision and accepted the offer from the Silver Eclypse, leaving a note for Kosu that he didn't need to worry.Jinpei disappeared from the hospital, leaving Kosu to wonder what had happened.

He couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, but he didn't know what.

To the secret hideout

Jinpei was disoriented as he opened his eyes and found himself in a strange place.

It was a dimly lit room with minimal furnishings, and he couldn't recognize any of the people around him.One of the figures stepped forward, introducing themselves as the leader of the group known as Silver Eclypse.

He explained that they were a group of vigilante outlaws who operated outside the law, seeking to make things right when the government couldn't dirty their hands.Jinpei listened intently as the leader continued, telling him that they had been keeping an eye on him and were impressed with his skills and values.

They believed he had the potential to be an asset to their cause. However, not all the members of the group were convinced.

Some argued that bringing in an outsider could put their operations at risk, while others believed that Jinpei could be trusted and welcomed the opportunity to work with him.Jinpei remained silent, taking in the conversation.

He knew that he couldn't simply accept the offer without fully understanding the consequences, but he couldn't deny that the group's mission resonated with him.As the debate continued, Jinpei took the time to observe the members of Silver Eclypse.

He saw the passion and determination in their eyes and could sense the strong bonds between them.

He also noticed the scars and injuries on their bodies, evidence of the risks they had taken in pursuit of justice. In the end, Jinpei made his decision.

He stood up and addressed the group, telling them that he believed in their cause and wanted to join them in their fight against injustice. One of them, a woman with short hair, spoke up.

"If you're serious about helping us, we need to see what you're made of," she said.

"We need to test your strength."

Jinpei nodded, ready to prove himself.

He followed the woman to a sparring area, where they began to fight.

The member who had challenged Jinpei stepped forward.

"Let's see what you're made of," he said, cracking his knuckles.Jinpei took a deep breath and got into a fighting stance.

The member charged at him with impressive speed and power.

Jinpei tried to dodge his attacks, but he was caught off guard by a sudden blast of energy."

What was that?"

Jinpei asked, rubbing his eyes.

He couldn't believe what he had just seen. The member grinned.

"Surprised?

I can use something similar to monster's power.

We all can."

Jinpei's mind was racing.

He had never heard of anything like this before.

How was it possible that humans could harness the power of monsters? As the fight between Jinpei and the Silver Eclypse member continued, Jinpei found himself struggling to keep up with his opponent's monster-like strength.

He was on the verge of losing the fight when suddenly, his familiar, Drake, emerged from within him.Drake, sensing his master's distress, immediately jumped into the fray to assist Jinpei in the fight.

For a few minutes, the two of them fought together, and it seemed like they were gaining the upper hand.

However, as the fight continued, something strange began to happen.Jinpei's mind seemed to become clouded and corrupted by the power of the monster within him.

He began to fight with a viciousness that was unlike anything the Silver Eclypse had ever seen before.

His movements became erratic and unpredictable, and it was clear that he was no longer in control. The members of the Silver Eclypse were forced to stop the fight and restrain Jinpei.

It was a difficult task, as he continued to fight back with all the strength he had.

Eventually, they managed to subdue him and bring him back to his senses."

That's enough," a voice said, interrupting the fight.

Jinpei turned to see the leader of the group standing behind him.

"I think there is no need to test Jinpei's strength anymore."

The leader explained that the members of Silver Eclypse had all been subjected to experiments by Black Sun in an attempt to create powerful monsters.

They had all developed unique abilities as a result, but they had also been left with scars both physical and emotional. After the fight, the members of the Silver Eclypse were left stunned and bewildered by what they had witnessed.

They had never seen anything like it before, and they knew that they had a lot to learn about the power of monsters and the mysterious force that had taken over Jinpei's mind.As for Jinpei, he was left shaken and confused by the experience.

He had never felt so out of control before, and he knew that he needed to find a way to harness the power of Drake without succumbing to the darkness that seemed to accompany it.

Members introduce

After the chaotic fight, the members of Silver Eclypse bring Jinpei to one of their room to rest.

As Jinpei recovered from the intense fight, he was introduced to the members of Silver Eclypse.

He had just learned that the group was made up of people who had been test subjects for Black Sun's experiments, and that they were fighting to make things right when the government couldn't.

However, not all of them were willing to trust Jinpei."

Let me introduce ourselves," said the girl with short hair.

"My name is Yumi.

I am an illusionist, I have the ability to create illusions that can distract and confuse my opponents."

Jinpei looked at Yumi as she introduced herself.

He couldn't help but feel intimidated by her, considering the fact that she had picked a fight with him earlier.

He could sense the aura of danger around her.Yumi continued, "And I can control your mind if I want to.

It's one of the abilities I gained from the experiment."

Jinpei nodded, taking note of Yumi's powers.

He then turned to the other members of the Silver Eclypse, hoping to learn more about them and their abilities. One of the members, a tall man with a muscular build, who just fought with Jinpei stepped forward.

"I'm Ken," he said, his voice deep and gruff.

"I was given the ability to transform into a werewolf-like monster.

It gives me immense strength and speed, but I have trouble controlling it sometimes."

Jinpei recalled his last match with Ken.

In that match, it was clear that Ken only transformed the hand that proved to be extremely powerful compared to Jinpei, how strong will he be when he fully transforms?Another member, a small, slim girl with pink hair introduced "I..

I'm Jessica".

The girl seemed hesitant to talk to the Jinpei.

"I...

I'm a medic, I can heal people's wounds."

The girl then hid behind Ken after finished introduce herself.

"Jess can be quite shy with strangers" Ken laughed and said.Jinpei was fascinated by the variety of abilities the Silver Eclypse members possessed.

However, he noticed that some of the members were reluctant to share any information about themselves. He approached one of the members, a tall man with slicked-back hair, and asked about his powers.

The man simply shook his head and walked away, refusing to speak."

Forget it, Jinpei."

Yumi said "It's not like you got everyone's approval."

Jinpei return to Yumi and Ken.

He is quite sad upon hearing that."

I can understand why they do that."

Ken said.

"Some of them still hold a grudge against the Adventurer's Guild and the Government, and they blame them for allowing Black Sun's experiments to happen."

Ken point to Jinpei, talk in gruff voice "And you, are exactly from that place."

Jinpei couldn't help but feel saddened by that fact.

He understood that they had been wronged and experimented on, but he believed that there was a better way to seek justice than seeking revenge."

I understand your pain, but I don't think violence and revenge is the answer," Jinpei said.

"We can work together to bring those responsible to justice, but we must do it in a way that doesn't hurt innocent people."

"Always talk sweet about justice and all."

Yumi grumble.

"You understand our pain?

Till yesterday you don't even know we exist!"

Yumi abruptly stood up and left the room, feeling angry at Jinpei's words.

Jessica followed her after a few glances between her and Jinpei.Ken then tell Jinpei story of Yumi.

Yumi's past was one of tragedy and trauma.

She had grown up in a happy family, enjoying a comfortable life in the city.

But one night, everything changed.

The Black Sun, a criminal organization that was notorious for its brutal methods and its involvement in illegal experiments, targeted Yumi's family. The Black Sun killed her parents and siblings in front of her, and then took Yumi away to their secret laboratory.

There, they subjected her to a series of cruel and painful experiments, in which they combined the genes of various monsters with her own DNA, in an attempt to create a new kind of superhuman.Yumi endured years of torture and abuse at the hands of the Black Sun, until she was finally rescued by the City Hall and the Adventurer's Guild.

However, the damage had already been done.

Yumi was left traumatized and deeply scarred by her experiences.

She developed a deep-seated hatred for the Adventurer's Guild and the City Hall, whom she blamed for failing to protect her and her family.Jinpei listened to Ken's story with a heavy heart.

He couldn't believe that such atrocities had occurred in their city.

"I had no idea," he whispered."

It's not something they want to advertise," Ken replied bitterly.

"The City Hall and the Adventurer's Guild only care about their reputation, not the people they are supposed to protect."

Jinpei felt a twinge of guilt in his chest.

He was a member of the Adventurer's Guild, and he had always believed in the Guild's mission to protect the people.

But after hearing about Yumi's past and the other members of Silver Eclypse, he couldn't ignore the fact that the Guild had failed in their duty.Ken continued, "Yumi has been holding a grudge against the Adventurer's Guild and the City Hall ever since.

She believes that justice can only be served by taking matters into her own hands.

And she's not the only one."

Jinpei felt a pang of sadness at Ken's words.

He knew that the Adventurer's Guild and the City Hall had made mistakes in the past, but he also knew that there were good people in both organizations who truly wanted to make a difference."

I want to help," Jinpei said firmly.

"I know that the Guild and the City Hall have made mistakes, but I believe that there are people who want to do the right thing.

I want to be one of those people."

Ken smiled at him.

"I know you do, Jinpei.

That's why I brought you here.

We need people like you to help us make a difference.

But you have to understand that not everyone in this group is ready to forgive and forget."

Jinpei nodded, understanding the complexity of the situation.

He knew that he couldn't change the past, but he could work towards a better future.

He was determined to help Silver Eclypse in their mission to bring justice to those who had been wronged.

The fight with inner self

Jinpei spent several days training with the members of Silver Eclypse, hoping to gain better control over his power.

He tried every technique they taught him, but it all seemed futile.

No matter how hard he tried, he could not control the monster power that resided within him.

Each time he tried, it felt like he was fighting against a force that was stronger than he was.Frustrated, Jinpei collapsed on the ground, panting heavily.

He could hear the members of Silver Eclypse whispering among themselves, and he knew that they were losing hope in him.

He couldn't bear to look at their disappointed faces."

I'm sorry," he whispered, feeling like he was letting them down.

"I'm trying my best, but I just can't seem to control it."

Hayato, the leader of Silver Eclypse, stepped forward and placed a hand on Jinpei's shoulder.

"Jinpei, I have a proposition for you.

This will be your last training."

Jinpei tensed, wondering what they could possibly want from him now."

If you win this fight," Hayato continued, "you will have full control over your power.

But if you lose, you will become a monster forever, and we will have to kill you to protect innocent lives."

Jinpei hesitated for a moment, considering the offer.

It was a risky gamble, but he had no other choice.

"I accept," he said finally.Hayato nodded, and the other members stepped back, forming a circle around Jinpei.

Yumi stood at the center of the group, her eyes closed in concentration as she wove her illusions around Jinpei.

In an instant, he was enveloped in a swirling vortex of light and color, and then he was gone.Jinpei found himself standing in a vast and serene training ground.

A lush green forest surrounded him, and a gentle breeze rustled through the trees.

In the distance, he could see a waterfall cascading into a pool, where he and Drake used to train together.

"Where am I?"

Jinpei muttered to himself.Suddenly, he heard a voice behind him.

"You're in your inner world, Jinpei."

Jinpei spun around and saw a figure standing there, shrouded in shadows, with a twisted grin on his face.

Jinpei could see the monster power surging through his body."

You are my inner self?"

Jinpei ask "Will you help me control my power?"

"Oh, I will," his inner self replied.

"But I have a better idea.

Why don't you give me your body?"

"What?"

Jinpei shocked upon hearing the word.

His inner self chuckled.

"You're a fool, Jinpei.

You can't control the power on your own.

Let's me do it for you."

Jinpei scowled and took a step forward.

"I see you have no intention to help me.

Let's resolve this with our power then."

His inner self grinned and stepped forward as well.

"Very well.

Let's see what you've got."

They began to fight, the two figures launched themselves at each other, their bodies colliding with a deafening crash.

Jinpei's inner self was fast, incredibly fast, and he seemed to know every move that Jinpei was going to make before he made it.

The battle was fierce, and Jinpei felt himself getting weaker and weaker with each passing moment.Meanwhile, in the real world, each member of Silver Eclypse took turns fighting against Jinpei, trying to prevent him from transforming into a monster.

But despite their best efforts, he was gradually losing control.Hayato, the leader of Silver Eclypse, was the first to face Jinpei.

He was a skilled martial artist, with the ability to move at blinding speed.

However, even with his skills, Hayato was no match for the raw power of Drake's monster form.Next was Takumi, a quiet and reserved member of the group, who had the power to control the earth itself.

He attempted to subdue Jinpei by creating massive earthen walls and traps, but Jinpei's brute strength allowed him to break through with ease. Then came Rina, a petite girl with an unsettling grin.

She had the ability to control the thunder, she created many thundercloud and send them to Jinpei.

However as Jinpei become more and more like a monster, her attack seems to be ineffective. Finally, it was Ken's turn to fight.

Ken was a former officer of the City Hall, but he was betrayed and left for dead by his superiors.

After joining the Silver Eclypse, he gained the ability to transform into werewolf.

Ken fought with all his might, but it was clear that Jinpei was too powerful. As each member fought against Jinpei, Yumi continued to send his mind deeper into his inner world.

There, Jinpei was engaged in a fierce battle with his own inner self.

The inner self was a reflection of Jinpei's own psyche, but it was far more skilled at controlling the monster's power.Jinpei's inner self was a master of strategy, dodging and countering Jinpei's every move.

Jinpei tried to defend himself but he struggled to keep up with the brutal onslaught from his inner self.

Drake emerged from his body and the two of them began to fight back.

Drake moved quickly and gracefully, shooting flame at Jinpei's inner self.

However, Jinpei's inner self was relentless, striking back with ferocity and precision. The battle continued for what felt like hours, and both Jinpei and Drake were starting to tire.

It seemed like the inner self was getting the upper hand, slowly taking over Jinpei's body.

But just as things were looking dire, Drake managed to land a powerful blow that knocked Jinpei's inner self back. The inner self looked up at Jinpei and sneered.

"You're weak," he said.

"You're always holding me back.

But I'll show you what true power is."

Jinpei stood his ground, determined to win this battle and take control of his power.

"I won't let you take over," he said firmly.

"I'll always control my power.

You're just a part of me that I need to keep in check."

Drake seemed to understand its owner's will.

Drake had transformed into a gauntlet that wrapped around Jinpei, its flames mingling with Jinpei's power to create an extremely intense effect. The inner self growled and lunged forward, but Jinpei was ready.

He dodged the attack and countered with a powerful punch that sent the inner self flying backwards."

Impossible," his inner self gasped.

"How could you defeat me?"

"Because I refuse to give up," Jinpei said, his voice filled with determination.

"I won't let you take over.

I'll control the monster power, no matter what it takes."

As the inner self lay on the ground, defeated, Jinpei walked over to him.

"You're not me," he said, looking down at his defeated inner self.

"You're just a part of me that I need to keep in check.

I control my power, not the other way around."

With that, Jinpei's inner world began to fade away, and he was sent back to reality. As he returned to the real world, he saw the Silver Eclypse members gathered around him, battered and bruised.

"I am back!"

Jinpei's eyes glowed with a newfound sense of control, and he knew that he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

The spar

Jinpei was now confident with his newfound control over Drake's monster power, but he knew he had to test his abilities in real combat.

Ken was willing to spar with him again, and Jinpei was excited to see how much he had improved. As the fight began, Jinpei focused on controlling Drake's power to transform various parts of his body.

He formed a gauntlet around his right hand, which glowed with a fiery orange energy.

He sent a powerful punch towards Ken, who was surprised at the strength behind it."

Damn, Jinpei, you make me serious."

Ken said and start transform as well. His hands became clawed, his teeth sharpened, and his senses sharpened to that of a wolf's.

Ken is now like a beast on the field.

He repeatedly unleashed violent attacks on Jinpei.

But even in his transformed state, Jinpei was able to match him.

The Drake Gauntlet seems to work independently of Jinpei, it deflects all of Ken's attacks, and repeatedly counterattacks, leaving Ken in a dilemma."

Very good, Jinpei, it's been a while since I've felt this.

In return, I'll let you taste my trump card."

Ken said with a smug on his face.Suddenly Jinpei felt heavy all over, he couldn't lift his limbs.

"What's going on?"

Jinpei mutteredKen lunged forward, this time even faster than before, his claws about to deliver a powerful blow to Jinpei.

The powerful attack caused the field to shake, and smoke filled the air.But Jinpei dodged that attack.

The glove on his hand has now turned into boots on his feet.

He lunged towards Ken, with a speed that was too fast to be visualized with the naked eye.

Ken tried to dodge but was still caught by a swift kick that sent him flying."

You know, Ken?

Increasing gravity can be a double-edged sword if your opponent can use it against you."

Jinpei is complacent.Jinpei then formed wings on his back, allowing him to take to the sky and attack Ken from above.

He breathed fire from a helmet that formed around his head, which caught Ken off guard.Ken fell hard to the ground, creating a large impact.

When the smoke cleared, Jinpei had since been standing on Ken's body, pointing Drake's gauntlets at him.

"I won."

Jinpei said.

Ken was amazed at Jinpei's newfound abilities and praised him for his progress.

The other members of Silver Eclypse watched in awe as Jinpei demonstrate his control over Drake's power.Ken then disarmed the transformation, Jinpei also released his equipment and reached out to help Ken up.

"Glad you on our side."

Ken said.Jinpei smiled, feeling more confident and powerful than ever before.

He knew that with his newfound abilities, he could make a real difference and help the outlaws of Silver Eclypse in their quest for justice.Hayato walked towards Jinpei and patted his back.

"Congratulations, Jinpei.

You have shown remarkable progress in controlling your monster power.

It's time for you to undertake your first mission as an outlaw."

Jinpei looked up at Hayato, feeling a sense of pride for earning the trust of the Silver Eclypse leader.

"What is the mission?" he asked.Hayato gestured for Jinpei to follow him, leading him to a table where a map was spread out.

"We have received information that a group of bandits has been raiding a nearby village.

We need you to take care of them."

Jinpei examined the map, trying to memorize the details of the terrain.

"How many bandits are we talking about?"

Hayato shrugged.

"We don't have exact numbers, but we suspect it's a small group.

Shouldn't be too much trouble for you and Ken."

Jinpei turned to Ken, who had been silently observing the conversation.

"What do you think, Ken?"

Ken nodded.

"I'm ready whenever you are, Jinpei.

Let's go show those bandits what happens when they mess with the Silver Eclypse."

Jinpei felt a surge of excitement and determination.

This was his chance to prove himself as a member of the Silver Eclypse, to show that he was capable of using his monster power for good.

"Let's do it," he said, clenching his fists.Hayato gave them a nod.

"Good luck, Jinpei and Ken.

We'll be waiting for your return."

Conflict

Jinpei set out on his first mission with Silver Eclypse, eager to prove himself to the team.

The mission was to rid a small village of a group of bandits that had been terrorizing the villagers. As they approached the village, they could see the bandits hiding in a nearby forest.

Jinpei, excited to test his new powers, charged towards the bandits.

He quickly took down several of the bandits with ease. But then he noticed something disturbing.

Ken was not holding back, and he was not using his powers to control the situation.

Instead, he was killing every bandit he could get his hands on.

Jinpei was horrified at the sight, and he called out to Ken to stop."

Ken, what are you doing?"

Jinpei asked, his voice filled with concern."

They're bandits, Jinpei.

They deserve to die," Ken replied coldly.Jinpei tried to argue, but Ken was already in a frenzy.

He transformed into a werewolf and killed every last bandit.Jinpei was disgusted by Ken's actions.

He couldn't understand why someone would take pleasure in killing like that.

He approached Ken, ready to reprimand him for his behavior.Jinpei turned to face Ken with a scowl on his face.

"Why did you have to kill all of them?

We could have just incapacitated them and handed them over to the authorities," he said, his voice laced with anger.Ken crossed his arms defensively.

"What's the point?

They were just going to break out of jail and do it all over again.

It's better this way."

"That's not for you to decide!"

Jinpei retorted, his fists clenching.

"We're not here to be judge, jury, and executioner.

We're here to bring them to justice."

Ken rolled his eyes.

"Oh please, spare me the hero speech.

You're just a naive kid who thinks he can change the world.

Sometimes you have to get your hands dirty to make a difference."

Before Jinpei could reply, the villagers approached them, bowing their heads in gratitude.

"Thank you so much for saving us from those bandits," the village elder said.

"We don't know what we would have done without you."

Jinpei and Ken stood in front of the grateful villagers, their faces painted with expressions of gratitude and relief.

Jinpei had just defeated the bandits with his newly refined powers, but he couldn't help feeling uneasy about Ken's actions.Jinpei didn't respond, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.

He knew that he had a lot to learn, but he wasn't sure if he was willing to compromise his ideals for the sake of the mission.Ken gave a small smile.

"We're just doing our job," he said, his tone softer than before. The villagers continued to thank them, offering food and shelter for the night.

Jinpei accepted graciously, feeling a sense of satisfaction from helping those in need.

However, he couldn't shake off the feeling that there had to be a better way to bring justice without resorting to violence. As they left the village, Jinpei couldn't help but think about his role in Silver Eclypse.

Was he really cut out for this kind of work?

Would he be able to reconcile his sense of justice with the realities of the world he lived in?Jinpei walked into the Silver Eclypse headquarters, feeling uneasy.

He found Hayato in his office and knocked on the door.

"May I come in?"

Jinpei asked."

Of course," Hayato replied, motioning for Jinpei to take a seat.Jinpei sat down and took a deep breath.

"I have this uneasy feeling about what happened on the mission," he said.

"I know we defeated the bandits, but the way Ken acted...it just didn't sit right with me."

Hayato raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, he killed all of them," Jinpei explained.

"I mean, I know they were bandits and all, but is that really the only way to deal with them?"

Hayato leaned back in his chair and stroked his chin thoughtfully.

"Ken is a bit of a loose cannon sometimes," he said.

"But he's also one of our best fighters.

We need people like him if we're going to take down Black Sun."

Jinpei nodded slowly.

"I understand that," he said.

"But it still bothers me.

I don't want to be part of a group that just goes around killing people."

Hayato gave Jinpei a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry, Jinpei.

We're not just mindless killers.

We only take action when it's necessary, and we always try to minimize casualties.

You're part of this group because we believe in you and your abilities.

We trust you to make the right decisions when the time comes."

Jinpei nodded again, feeling slightly better.

"Thanks, Hayato.

I'll try to remember that."

Hayato stood up and clapped Jinpei on the shoulder.

"Good.

Now, you should go back and rest."

As he leave Hayato's room, Jinpei couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

He knew that Ken had a history with the City Hall, but he couldn't help but wonder if there was more to it than that.

He resolved to keep an eye on Ken and make sure that he didn't cross any lines in the future.

Father

Back in time to when Jinbei left the hospital without telling anyone.

Kosu searched everywhere for him but couldn't find him.

With Sakura and Ryota still in the ICU, Kosu had no choice but to seek help from the Adventurer's Guild.

He met with the guild master, a wise and experienced adventurer named Tetsuo.

The guild master called Kosu into his office and closed the door behind them.

After a few moments of silence, the guild master spoke up, "Kosu, before we start talking about your affair, there's something I need to tell you.

I am your biological father."

Kosu's eyes widened in shock.

"What?

How is that possible?

My father lived with my mother and me from the time I was born until he died of cancer a few years ago."

Kosu sat across from the Guild Master, still reeling from the revelation that the man he had grown up calling "father" was actually his stepfather."

I know this is a lot to take in, Kosu," the Guild Master said, placing a hand on Kosu's shoulder.

"But I wanted to tell you the truth.

Your mother and I had an affair while she was still with your biological father.

It was a complicated situation, but he knew about it and accepted it because he couldn't give your mother the child she desperately wanted."

Kosu stared at the Guild Master, feeling a mix of shock, confusion, and anger.

"So you're telling me that my whole life has been a lie?" he asked."

I wouldn't say that," the Guild Master replied.

"Your stepfather loved you as if you were his own son.

He was a good man, and he knew that the most important thing was that you had a happy and healthy life."

"But why didn't you tell me sooner?"

Kosu demanded."

Your mother made me promise not to say anything," the Guild Master explained.

"She wanted to protect you from the truth.

But after what happened with Sakura and Ryota, I felt like you deserved to know.

And I hope that you can forgive me for keeping it a secret for so long."

Kosu sat there for a moment, trying to process everything.

It was a lot to take in, and he wasn't sure how he felt about it.

"So, let's say you really are my father.

Why do you reveal that now?"

Kosu talk to the Guild Master, his voice fill with uncertain."

Blood heritage", the Guild Master replied, his eyes fixed on Kosu.

"It's a power that has been passed down through our family for generations," he explained.

"It's a power that can be used for great good, or for great evil."

Kosu looked at him skeptically.

"And what makes you think I'm capable of handling such power?"

The Guild Master replied.

"I can see it in you, Kosu.

It has awakened inside you.

With the right training, you could become one of the most powerful adventurers in the guild."

Kosu frowned.

"I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of responsibility."

The Guild Master nodded.

"I understand it's a lot to take in.

But I promise you, I will be with you every step of the way.

I will train you, guide you, and make sure you use your power for the greater good."

Kosu felt a shiver run down his spine.

He had never been interested in having any kind of special power, and the thought of inheriting something that could potentially be dangerous made him uneasy.

"I don't know if I want this power," he said slowly. The Guild Master nodded understandingly.

"I understand your apprehension, but you need to know that this power will be yours whether you want it or not.

It's in your blood.

The only thing you can control is how you use it."

Kosu hesitated for a moment before nodding.

"Okay," he said, steeling himself for what was to come.

"I'll do it."

The Guild Master smiled, a rare sight for the stern Guild Master.

"Good.

I'll train you myself.

It won't be easy, but I have faith in you."

Kosu felt a glimmer of hope.

Perhaps this was what he needed to distract from Jinpei's sudden departure and the guilt of not being able to protect his friends.

Maybe this power can help him make a difference in the world.

Soul Charge

Kosu followed the Guild Master, Tetsuo through the winding corridors of the Adventurer's Guild until they reached a hidden entrance.

Tetsuo pushed aside a large boulder, revealing a small opening that led to a steep descent down a narrow stone stairway.

As they descended, Kosu could hear the sound of running water growing louder. Finally, they emerged into a large cavern illuminated by glowing blue rocks.

The walls, ceiling, and floor were all made of the same blue stone, and Kosu could see a clear stream running through the middle of the cavern."

This is our secret training lair," Tetsuo said with a hint of pride in his voice.

"The blue stone here is infused with magic, making it an ideal environment for training."

Kosu looked around in wonder, taking in the stunning beauty of the underground cavern.

"It's amazing," he said.Tetsuo nodded.

"But it's not just the environment that makes this place special.

It's also the training methods we use here.

And I'm going to teach you one of the most powerful techniques we have."

Kosu's eyes widened in excitement as Tetsuo led him to a secluded corner of the cavern.Tetsuo sat across from Kosu, his expression serious.

"You've likely noticed by now that you can't use domain magic, despite your formidable strength," he said.

"That's because the power you possess comes from a different source."

Kosu raised an eyebrow.

"A different source?

What do you mean?"

"The power you have, Soul Charge, comes from within yourself," Tetsuo explained.

"It's not tied to any specific element or domain.

That's why you can use it even in places where domain magic is restricted, like dungeons.

And because it's tied to your own internal energy, you can continue to use it even when you're exhausted, as long as you have the willpower to keep going."

Kosu leaned back, absorbing this information.

"So that's why I've been able to take on so many strong opponents in the dungeon," he mused.

"But if I can't use domain magic, doesn't that mean I'll never be as powerful as someone who can?"

Tetsuo shook his head.

"Not necessarily.

Soul Charge is a powerful skill in its own right, and it has advantages that domain magic doesn't.

With the right training and focus, you can become just as strong as any domain mage, if not stronger."

Kosu nodded, feeling a newfound sense of purpose.

He had always known he was strong, but now he had a better understanding of why.

And with Tetsuo's help, he was determined to master his power and become the strongest adventurer he could be.Tetsuo explained to Kosu that the core principle of Soul Charge is all about the user's control over the flow of magic particles.

Instead of letting the magic particles flow out of their body like a typical magic user, the user of Soul Charge must absorb magic particles from their surroundings through their mana gate, and then send it to every part of their body through the acupuncture points.

This process required precise control over the mana gate and acupuncture points to prevent an overload of magic particles, which could be dangerous to the user's body.Tetsuo began to teach Kosu about the acupuncture points in the body.

"Acupuncture points are the key to unlocking the potential of the Soul Charge," Tetsuo explained.

"There are hundreds of them, but the most important ones are the ones along the meridians.

They are like channels through which the energy of the Soul Charge flows."

Kosu listened intently, trying to absorb all the information.

Tetsuo continued, "To open the acupuncture points, you must use your internal energy to stimulate them.

It's like unlocking a door with a key.

Once the point is open, the energy will flow freely, and you will feel a surge of power."

Kosu asked, "But what if I can't open all the acupuncture points?"

Tetsuo replied, "It's not necessary to open them all.

Even if you can only open a few, it will make a vast difference in your strength.

The important thing is to focus on the ones that will enhance your abilities the most."

Kosu nodded, understanding the importance of opening the acupuncture points.

Tetsuo continue, shifting his focus to the mana gates in the body.

"Mana gates," he said, "are the entry and exit points of magic power in the body.

They act like valves that control the flow of magic power in and out of the body.

Opening and closing them is essential to using Soul Charge."

Kosu listened intently as Tetsuo demonstrated on his own body, pointing out the various locations of the mana gates and how to manipulate them.

He explained that the gates could be opened partially or fully, depending on the user's skill and level of control."

As you practice opening your gates, you'll feel a rush of magic power flowing through your body," Tetsuo said.

"This power can be overwhelming at first, but with time and practice, you'll learn to control it and harness it for your battles in the dungeon."

Tetsuo demonstrated this by showing Kosu how to open his mana gate and control the flow of magic particles, gradually increasing the amount that he could absorb and send to his acupuncture points.

Kosu found it difficult to open every acupuncture point in his body, but even with a small number of open points, he could feel the immense power of Soul Charge coursing through him.Tetsuo explained to Kosu that his lineage possessed a unique body type that allowed them to handle the extreme power generated by controlling their acupuncture points and mana gate.

He revealed that this was a trait that had been passed down through generations and that Kosu was fortunate enough to inherit it.

Tetsuo further elaborated that while normal people could learn to control their acupuncture points and mana gate, their bodies would not be able to handle the extreme power generated by the Soul Charge skill, resulting in severe injury or death.."

The ability to absorb magic particles from the surrounding and channel it through your acupuncture points and mana gate is what makes Soul Charge so powerful," Tetsuo said.

"And your body's capacity to hold and handle that power is what makes you capable of performing the skill at near-limitless levels."

Kosu was amazed by the explanation and couldn't believe how fortunate he was to have inherited such a unique body type.

He was eager to learn more about how to control his acupuncture points and mana gate, and how to maximize the potential of his Soul Charge skill.

Extra: Dream

Kosu's mind was buzzing with all the new information he had learned about his heritage and his unique power, Soul Charge.

He lay down on his bed and closed his eyes, feeling completely drained.

As he drifted off into a deep sleep, memories of his childhood flooded his mind.

He remembered his parents, his father's strong and caring presence, and his mother's warm smile.

Kosu's dream took him back to a memory from his childhood.

He was in the living room of his family's small cottage, playing with his toys on the floor.

His parents were sitting on the couch, watching him with warm smiles.

They were all gathered around a large table, enjoying a delicious meal and chatting happily.

Kosu could feel the warmth and love emanating from them, and he felt a sense of comfort and nostalgia wash over him."

Do you remember the dream you had last night, Kosu?" his mother asked.Young Kosu looked up at her, his eyes wide with curiosity.

"What dream?"

"You told us you dreamt of flying, remember?" his father chimed in.Young Kosu's face lit up with excitement.

"Yes, I remember now!

I flew all the way to the clouds!"

His mother laughed softly.

"You have such an active imagination, my dear."

Kosu's father leaned forward.

"But there may be more to it than just a dream.

In our family, some have been known to possess unique powers, including the ability to fly."

Young Kosu's eyes widened in amazement.

"Really?

Do I have that power too?"

His father smiled gently.

"Perhaps, my son.

Only time will tell."

Kosu felt a surge of excitement and wonder at the possibility of having a special power like his ancestors.

But then, his dream took a strange turn, and he felt like his father was speaking directly to him."

Kosu, my son," his father's voice echoed in his mind.

"I know this is all overwhelming for you, but you have a great power within you.

You must learn to control it and use it for good."

"Father...is that you?"

Kosu asked tentatively."

Yes, my son," his father replied, his voice strong and clear.

"I have been watching you, and I am proud of the young man you have become."

Tears welled up in Kosu's eyes as he heard his father's words.

He had always longed to hear them, even though he knew it was impossible."

I...I don't understand," Kosu stammered.

"How can you be here?

You're dead."

"I am here because you need my guidance," his father explained.

"You have inherited the family's power, and it is time for you to learn how to use it properly.

You have a great destiny ahead of you, my son."

Kosu felt a sense of comfort wash over him as he listened to his father's words.

It was as if he was being reassured that everything would be okay."

Father, I don't know what to do," Kosu admitted, feeling vulnerable."

You must learn to control your heritage power," his father said firmly.

"It is a powerful tool, but it can also be dangerous if not handled with care.

Listen to your Guild Master, Tetsuo, and practice every day.

I know you can do this."

Kosu nodded, taking in his father's words.

He felt more determined than ever to master his power and make his father proud."

Thank you, father," he said, a sense of peace filling his heart."

You are always in my heart, my son," his father replied, before fading away.Kosu felt a jolt of energy surge through his body, and he opened his eyes to find himself in a different place.

He looked around and realized that he was standing in a dark and desolate wasteland, with no sign of his father or mother.Confused and disoriented, he began to walk forward, hoping to find some answers.

And that's when he saw Jinpei, standing in the distance, beckoning him to come closer.

Kosu looked up to see Jinpei standing before him.

His friend looked weary, as if he had been through a lot.

Kosu wanted to ask him what was wrong, but before he could, Jinpei spoke."

Kosu, I have to go.

I need to face something alone, but I don't know if I'll come back."

Jinpei's voice was solemn.Kosu was stunned.

"What do you mean?

What's going on?"

"I can't explain it right now, but please, promise me that you'll come after me if I don't return.

It's dangerous, but I have to go."

Kosu didn't know what to say.

He had never seen Jinpei so serious and troubled.

But he knew he had to do something.

"I promise.

I'll come after you, no matter what."

Feeling both confused and unsettled, Kosu sat up in bed, taking a moment to collect his thoughts.

He realized that his dream had reminded him of what was truly important - his family and his friends.

He also knew that he had to work harder than ever to master his strength and be able to save Jinpei from whatever dark and dangerous place awaited him. With this determination in mind, Kosu got up and went to find Tetsuo to continue his training.

Training

As the training began, the Guild Master explained the importance of opening every acupuncture point and mana gate in the body to maximize the potential of Soul Charge."

You may not be able to open every single point and gate right now, but even with a few opened, you can still increase your power drastically," he said to Kosu.Kosu nodded, determined to master this skill despite his limitations.Tetsuo then demonstrated the proper breathing technique and visualization exercises to help Kosu control the flow of magic particles into his body through the open points and gates.

Kosu followed his movements and tried to mimic them, focusing on the sensation of the energy entering his body."

Good, good," Tetsuo praised him.

"You have a natural talent for this, Kosu.

I can see that you are able to absorb and release the magic particles with ease."

As Kosu continued to practice, he felt his power growing with each passing moment.

The sensation was exhilarating and he wanted more.

Tetsuo saw the fire in Kosu's eyes and knew that he was ready to move on to the next step."

Now that you have a grasp of the basic technique, let's move on to the next phase," Tetsuo said.

"We'll work on channeling your power into your physical strikes."

Kosu's eyes widened with excitement.

He had been waiting for this moment ever since he learned about Soul Charge.

With Tetsuo's guidance, he was confident that he could become a formidable warrior.Tetsuo looked at Kosu and said, "The best way to learn how to use Soul Charge is through actual combat.

Are you ready to put your knowledge to the test?"

Kosu hesitated for a moment.

He knew that Tetsuo was a powerful adventurer, and he still had a long way to go before he could fully control his Soul Charge.

But he also knew that he needed to push himself if he wanted to improve."

Alright," Kosu said, steeling himself.

"I'm ready."

Tetsuo nodded and stepped forward, holding his left arm behind his back and standing on his right leg.

"I'll give you a handicap," he said.

"I'll only use one hand and one leg in this training.

That should even the odds a bit."

Kosu nodded, appreciating the gesture.

He knew that Tetsuo could have easily defeated him without any handicaps.

The two of them squared off, and Tetsuo made the first move, throwing a punch with his free hand.Kosu quickly dodged to the side and tried to counter with a punch of his own, but Tetsuo easily blocked it with his leg.

Kosu tried again, this time with a kick, but Tetsuo swept his leg out from under him, causing Kosu to stumble.Tetsuo was quick to capitalize on the opening, unleashing a flurry of strikes that Kosu struggled to defend against.

Despite his best efforts, Kosu couldn't keep up with Tetsuo's speed and precision.

He knew that he needed to do something drastic if he was going to turn the tide.Gathering his energy, Kosu focused on his acupuncture points and mana gates, trying to channel his Soul Charge into his body.

He felt a surge of power as he opened a few more points, and suddenly his movements became faster and more fluid.Tetsuo was caught off guard by Kosu's sudden increase in speed, and Kosu was able to land a few solid hits.

Though he panting heavily as Soul Charge had drawn a lot of his stamina.Tetsuo was impressed by Kosu's progress, but he knew that he still had a lot to learn."

Good job," Tetsuo said, smiling.

"But don't get too cocky.

You still have a long way to go."

Kosu nodded, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment.

He knew that he had a lot of work to do, but he was excited to continue his training and see where it would take him.The fight continued, and Tetsuo began to use his Soul Charge.

The mana particles in the air began to gather towards him, flowing through his mana gate and into his body.

The Guild Master's movements became even more fluid and precise as he incorporated the power of Soul Charge into his attacks.Kosu was amazed by the sight before him.

He had seen Tetsuo fight before, but this was on another level entirely.

His movements were almost too fast to follow, and his attacks were incredibly powerful.Despite the handicap, Tetsuo still managed to land several blows on Kosu.

Each one felt like a sledgehammer hitting him, and he stumbled backwards under the force.Tetsuo stopped the fight and walked towards Kosu, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"You're doing well, Kosu.

But you need to open more acupuncture points and mana gates in your body if you want to keep up with me."

Kosu nodded, panting heavily.

He realized that he still had a long way to go before he could fully master his Soul Charge.Tetsuo continued, "Remember, it's not just about power.

It's about control.

You need to be able to control the flow of mana through your body, or else you'll end up burning yourself out."

Kosu listened intently, taking in every word that Tetsuo said.

He knew that he had to be careful with the power he possessed, or else he might end up harming himself. The Guild Master gestured towards the training area.

"Let's continue.

You need to get used to fighting with Soul Charge.

It's not something that can be learned overnight."

Kosu nodded and readied himself, determined to improve and learn as much as he could from Tetsuo.

He may have been at a disadvantage, but he wasn't going to let that stop him.

He was going to master his Soul Charge, no matter what. They continued to train for hours, working on different techniques and strategies to maximize the power of Soul Charge.

Kosu's progress was impressive, and Tetsuo could see that he was pushing himself to the limit."

Good work today, Kosu," Tetsuo said as they finished their training.

"Rest up, we'll continue tomorrow."

Kosu nodded, feeling exhausted but satisfied with his progress.

As he walked away, he knew that he was one step closer to mastering Soul Charge and saving his friend Jinpei.

Choices

Today mark a week of training.

Kosu sat down on the ground, his chest heaving with exhaustion.

He had been practicing Soul Charge for hours, trying to extend the time he could maintain it without draining his stamina completely.

But despite his efforts, he still found himself struggling. He took a deep breath and tried to calm his mind.

As he did, he began to reflect on what he had learned so far.

The more he thought about it, the more he realized how difficult it was to handle the power of Soul Charge."

It's not just about extending the time I can use it," he said to himself.

"It's also about controlling it, about managing the flow of magic particles through my body."

He remembered what Tetsuo had told him about the importance of controlling the acupuncture points and mana gates in his body.

It was a delicate process that required both concentration and practice.Kosu also realized that part of the reason he was struggling was because of his own perspective.

He had been thinking of Soul Charge as a tool to defeat enemies, rather than a means of strengthening himself."

If I keep thinking of Soul Charge as something I need to use to win fights, I'll never be able to master it," he said, shaking his head.

"I need to think of it as a way to become stronger, to push myself to new heights."

With a newfound determination, Kosu stood up and began to practice again.

He focused on controlling the flow of magic particles through his body, and tried to extend the time he could maintain Soul Charge without draining his stamina.

It was a difficult process, but he was determined to master it.The door suddenly opened, Tetsuo had returned for Kosu's morning training.

But Kosu noticed some strange things on his face.

As if he was going to decide something he would definitely regret in the future.Kosu then started training with Tetsuo.

Today Tetsuo's training seemed more strict than usual.

But Kosu also couldn't get better in one training session.

Despite her best efforts, the maximum time that Kosu can maintain Soul Charge still does not exceed 1 minute.

Kosu suddenly remembered what he told himself before training.

He began to relax his entire body, and instead of trying to force the power of Soul Charge, he gently let it circulate within his body.

Suddenly, Kosu's steps became lighter, and the force of his attacks became stronger.Kosu's attacks started reaching Tetsuo.

And although the duration of Soul Charge has not been longer, but for Kosu, it seems to be endless.

He unleashed countless attacks on Tetsuo, all of them lasting only a moment. When Soul Charge's duration ends, Kosu was panting heavily, sweat dripping down his forehead as he stood in front of Tetsuo.

Tetsuo had been a tough opponent, but Kosu had managed to hold his own."

Good job, Kosu," Tetsuo said, a small smile forming on his face.

"You've come a long way since we started training.

You've finally mastered the basics of Soul Charge."

Kosu felt a sense of pride welling up inside of him.

He had worked hard to get to this point and it was all paying off."

However," Tetsuo continued, his expression turning serious, "you still have a lot to learn.

One major drawback of using Soul Charge is that it drains your stamina completely.

You need to learn how to manage your stamina and use it efficiently."

Kosu nodded, taking in Tetsuo's words.

He knew that using Soul Charge was a double-edged sword.

It was powerful, but it came at a cost.Tetsuo placed a hand on Kosu's shoulder.

"But I am afraid this will be our last training section together."

Kosu was surprised.

"Why?" he asked.

"I thought you were still teaching me new things."

"I am," Tetsuo said.

"But I am a Guild Master, and I am bound by many responsibilities, my time with you has come to an end."

Kosu was disappointed.

He had been hoping to continue training with the guild master more and become proficient in the use of Soul Charge .

But he knew that the guild master was right.

It was time for him to move on."

Now you have two options," said Tetsuo.

"You can continue to train in this secret training room.

I will create conditions for you to train in the best environment."

Tetsuo paused for a moment, then continued, "Or you can choose to leave here and begin your journey, putting what you've learned into practice."

Kosu hesitated for a moment, weighing between the two options.

Suddenly the image of Jinpei flashed through his mind.

His eyes were filled with determination.

"I'll go."

Tetsuo seemed to have foreseen this situation, he looked at his son with regret.

He wanted to spend more time with him, to be a "true" father.

Tetsuo paused for a moment, then said, "I wish you a smooth journey.

Even though I can't go with you, I will always look forward to you."

"I understand," Kosu said.

"Thank you for everything, father."

Tetsuo was surprised, then gradually a smile appeared on his face.

"You're welcome, son," he said.

"I'm proud of the man that you've become."

Clues

Kosu left the Adventurer's Guild, feeling determined to find Jinpei and rescue him from whatever danger he might be facing.

He knew that it would be a difficult journey, but he was ready to face any challenge that might come his way.

However, the first thing he needed to do was to get some information about Jinpei's whereabouts. He went to the hospital where his friends Sakura and Ryota were being treated.

He wanted to say goodbye to them before he left, and perhaps they could give him some clue as to where Jinpei might be.As he walked into the hospital room, he saw Sakura and Ryota sitting up in their beds, looking much better than they had when he had last met them.

Kosu was relieved to see Sakura and Ryota on the road to recovery.

He had been worried sick about them ever since the incident with Dr.Kuro and the Black Sun organization.

Kosu greeted Sakura and Ryota warmly, and they exchanged stories about what had happened to them since their explore in the icicle dungeon.

After a while, Kosu brought up the subject of Jinpei.

"Do you guys know anything about where Jinpei might be?" he asked.

"I'm sorry, Kosu.

We wish we could help you find Jinpei, but we don't have any leads," Sakura said apologetically."

Yeah, we were all knocked out since that battle with Black Sun.

We don't even know what happened to Jinpei," Ryota added.Kosu nodded, understanding their situation.

"It's alright, I'll find him somehow.

You two just focus on your recovery and get better soon."

As Kosu turn to leave, Sakura talk to him.

"Wait, Kosu.

We don't have any information about him.

But you might want to talk to Dr.

Yamamoto.

He might know something."

Kosu was surprised.

"Dr.

Yamamoto?

Why would he know anything about Jinpei?"

Ryota spoke up.

"Well, it looks like they've known each other for a long time.

They had a bit of a falling out, but they might still be in contact.

You should talk to him, Kosu."

Kosu nodded.

"Thanks, guys.

I'll go talk to him."

He left the room and went to the reception desk to ask for Dr.

Yamamoto's office.

When he got there, he knocked on the door and waited for a response."

Come in," a voice called out.Kosu entered the office and saw Dr.

Yamamoto sitting behind his desk, looking up from his paperwork.

He looked surprised to see Kosu."

Kosu, what brings you here?" he asked.Kosu hesitated for a moment before speaking.

"I'm looking for Jinpei.

Sakura and Ryota said that you might know something about his whereabouts."

Dr.

Yamamoto sighed and leaned back in his chair.

"I'm afraid I don't know where he is, Kosu.

The last time I saw him was when we were trying to fix his magic particle high density, and I haven't seen him since.."

Kosu's heart sank.

He had hoped that Dr.

Yamamoto would have some information about Jinpei.

"Do you have any idea where he might have gone?" he asked.Dr.

Yamamoto shook his head.

"I'm sorry, Kosu.

I don't know where he might have gone.

But I do have a suggestion for you."

Kosu looked at him, hoping for some kind of clue.

"What is it?"

Dr.

Yamamoto leaned forward and spoke quietly.

"There's a place where Jinpei used to go when he needed to clear his head.

Maybe you should check there."

Kosu sat up straighter in his chair, his heart racing with anticipation.

"What?

How?

Where?" he asked eagerly."

Well, it's near his hometown.

Jinpei's family lived in a small town outside of the city," Dr.

Yamamoto explained.

"I remember him talking about it once.

He said he used to go there when he needed to clear his head or get away from everything.

It might be worth checking out."

Kosu felt a glimmer of hope in his chest.

"Thank you, Dr.

Yamamoto.

I'll go there right away."

The doctor nodded, his expression grave.

"Just be careful, Kosu.

You never know what you might find."

Kosu stood up, feeling grateful for the doctor's help.

"I will.

Thank you again."

As he left the hospital, Kosu felt a mixture of excitement and apprehension.

He was getting closer to finding Jinpei, but he had no idea what he would find in his friend's hometown.

Would Jinpei be there?

Would he be safe?Despite his fears, Kosu knew he had to keep moving forward.

He got in his motorbike and set off for to Jinpei's hometown, determined to find any clues that might lead him to his friend.

Hometown

Kosu walked along the quiet streets of Jinpei's hometown, taking in the sights and sounds around him.

The people here were friendly and helpful, pointing him in the right direction when he asked for directions to Jinpei's home.Eventually, he found himself standing in front of a modest brick house.

It was not particularly big, but it looked cozy and inviting.

Kosu took a deep breath and knocked on the door.As Kosu approached Jinpei's home, he felt a sense of unease.

He had no idea what he would find inside.

The house was modest, made of bricks and painted white.

As he walked closer to the front door, he could see the curtains drawn in the living room, and a soft light filtering through.Kosu knocked on the door and waited patiently.

After a few moments, the door creaked open, and he saw a woman in her late fifties, with kind eyes and a gentle smile.

She looked at Kosu curiously before speaking."

Yes, can I help you?" she asked kindly."

Um, yes," Kosu replied.

"I'm looking for Jinpei.

I'm a friend of his from the Adventurer's Guild.

We've been separated, and I'm trying to find him."

The woman's face softened.

"Oh, Jinpei," she said.

"He hasn't been home in a long time.

But please, come in.

I'll tell you what I know."

Kosu stepped into the house, feeling a little uneasy.

He had never been to Jinpei's home before, and he didn't know what to expect.

But as he looked around, he saw that the house was tidy and well-kept.

It was clear that the woman took great pride in her home. They sat down at a small table in the living room, and the woman poured them some tea.

There, he saw a frail-looking man lying on a bed, his face contorted in pain.

The woman noticed Kosu's gaze and explained, "That's Jinpei's father.

He has Parkinson's disease.

It's been a long time since he's been able to move or even talk."

"Parkinson's disease?"

Kosu asked, he doesn't know about this disease uptil now."

It's a degenerative disease," she said, her eyes sad as she looked down at her hands.

"It affects the nervous system and makes it harder and harder for the body to move properly.

The tremors are one of the most well-known symptoms, but it's much more than that."

"It's as if a dark curse has been placed on my husband," she said.

"The curse paralyzes his nerves, making his body shake uncontrollably.

The curse also affects his mind, causing him to forget things and struggle with simple tasks."

"But it's not a curse is it?

So can our current technology cure this disease?"

Kosu asked."

Yes, we went to the hospital.

They say it's because the body doesn't produce enough dopamine in the brain.

Dopamine is a chemical that helps regulate movement and mood.

Without it, the nerves cannot function properly, causing tremors and other symptoms."

Kosu's heart sank as he looked at the man.

He couldn't imagine what it would be like to be trapped inside your own body like that.

Jinpei's mother must be under a lot of stress taking care of him alone.Kosu nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation.

"I'm sorry to hear about your husband," he said softly.Jinpei's mother noticed Kosu's concern and said, "Thank you.

It's been hard, but we manage.

My husband has been bedridden for many years now, but Jinpei has been a great help to me.

He's been taking care of us since he was young.

Jinpei's sister and her family also living nearby, so they help out when they can."

Kosu nodded understandingly.

"I see," he said.

"Do you have any idea where he might have gone?"

Kosu asked, trying to keep his voice calm. The woman shook her head.

"I'm sorry, I don't.

Jinpei was always a bit of a wanderer.

He liked to travel and explore new places.

But he always came back eventually."

Kosu thanked the woman for her help and stood up to leave.

As he was putting on his shoes, the woman stopped him."

Wait, there is something you should see," she said, leading him to a small room at the back of the house.Inside the room, there was a large map of the region hanging on the wall.

The woman pointed to a spot on the map and said, "Jinpei always talked about visiting this place.

He said it was a sacred site, where he could feel the presence of his ancestors."

Kosu studied the spot on the map, committing it to memory.

It was a long shot, but it was better than nothing.

He thanked the woman again and left the house, determined to find his friend.

Sacred Cavern

Kosu followed the map that at Jinpei's home and found himself standing before the entrance of a cave.

As he approached it, he noticed that the cave was not an ordinary one.

The air around it was filled with a mystical energy, and the entrance itself seemed to glow with an otherworldly light.

Kosu hesitated for a moment before stepping inside.

The moment he did, he felt as though he was transported to another realm.

The walls of the cave were adorned with intricate symbols and carvings, some of which glowed with a faint blue light.

He could hear the sound of water echoing from somewhere within the depths of the cave.As he walked further into the cave, he came across a series of underwater tunnels that led him deeper into the earth.

The water in the tunnels was crystal clear, and he could see all kinds of aquatic creatures swimming around him.

The tunnels eventually led him to a vast underground cavern that was illuminated by the light of glowing crystals embedded in the walls. In the center of the cavern, there was a pedestal made of pure gold.

Upon the pedestal was a shining orb that radiated a powerful energy.

Kosu could feel the energy coursing through his body as he approached the pedestal.

He reached out to touch the orb, but just as his hand was about to make contact, he heard a voice."

Kosu, my friend, I knew you would come here."

Kosu turned around and saw Jinpei standing behind him.

He was surprised to see that Jinpei looked different.

His eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, and his skin seemed to shimmer with a faint aura."

Jinpei, what happened to you?

Why did you leave without telling us?"

Kosu asked."

I had to leave, Kosu.

I had to find the answers I was looking for," Jinpei replied.

"And I found them here, in this sacred site."

"Why did you call this place a sacred site?"

Kosu asked."

Because it is," Jinpei said.

"This place holds the key to unlocking the power of the ancients.

The power to heal any ailment, to overcome any obstacle.

And I have found a way to harness that power."

Kosu looked at Jinpei, his eyes wide with wonder.

He couldn't believe what he was hearing."

Jinpei, what are you saying?

What kind of power is this?"

Kosu asked."

The power of the ancients, Kosu.

The power to unlock the full potential of the soul.

The power to heal the sick, to overcome the impossible.

And I want to share that power with you, my friend."

Jinpei led Kosu to an area where they could sit and talk.

"Kosu, I'm glad you made it," Jinpei said.

"But before we go any further, I have to warn you.

The journey you're about to embark on is dangerous.

You have to be ready for whatever comes your way."

Kosu nodded in agreement.

"I've been training hard with Tetsuo, and I think I'm ready for whatever challenges may come."

Jinpei gave him a serious look.

"It's not just about physical strength, Kosu.

You have to be prepared mentally and emotionally as well.

This journey will test you in ways you can't imagine."

Kosu took a deep breath.

"I understand, Jinpei.

But why did you bring me here?

What's so special about this place?"

Jinpei hesitated for a moment before answering.

"This place is special to me, Kosu.

It's where I come to think and reflect.

But it's also a sacred site, with powerful magic that can transport you to different realms."

Kosu looked at him with surprise.

"Different realms?

What do you mean?"

Jinpei sighed.

"I can't explain it all now, Kosu.

But what I can tell you is that you have to be careful when you step into that cave.

The magic there can create illusions that are so real, they can drive you insane."

Kosu nodded, his expression serious.

"I understand.

I'll be careful."

Jinpei looked at him for a moment before speaking again.

"Kosu, I have to tell you something.

I don't think you're ready for this journey yet.

You need to go back and practice more.

Train harder, until you're truly ready."

Kosu felt a pang of disappointment, but he knew Jinpei was right.

"I understand.

I'll go back and practice more.

But Jinpei, when will we meet again?"

Jinpei smiled sadly.

"I don't know, Kosu.

But I promise you, when the time comes, we'll meet again.

Now go.

Train hard, and don't give up."

As Kosu stood up to leave, he felt a sudden jolt in his mind.

He saw a vision of Jinpei slaughtering innocent people, and he tried to stop him, only to be killed in the process.Kosu gasped and stumbled back, as if waking from a dream.

He realized with horror that he had been under an illusion all this time since he took a step into the sacred site.

The Jinpei he had been talking to was nothing but an illusion created by the magic of the site.Feeling shaken, Kosu took one last look at the cave before turning to leave.

He knew he had a long journey ahead of him, but he was determined to be ready for whatever lay ahead.

Call to Arms

Kosu had barely taken two steps out of the sacred cavern when his communicator crackled to life, Sakura's voice urgently calling him back to the Adventurer's Guild."

Kosu!

Thank the gods I reached you.

We have an emergency situation and we need you here immediately," she said, her tone laced with a rare hint of panic.Furrowing his brow, Kosu pressed the device closer to his ear.

"What's happened, Sakura?

Is it Jinpei?

Have you found him?"

There was a brief pause before she responded.

"No, nothing on Jinpei yet.

But we have a large-scale dungeon raid coming up and we need your help.

Please, Kosu, you have to get back here as soon as you can."

Without hesitation, Kosu turned and began sprinting back towards the city, his heart pounding.

Had the disappearance of Jinpei somehow triggered some kind of dangerous dungeon event?

Whatever was happening, he knew he couldn't afford to waste any time.It was a few days later when Kosu finally arrived back at the Adventurer's Guild, greeted by a grim-faced Sakura and Guild Master Tetsuo.

As he entered the strategy room, he noticed an unfamiliar man in a crisp military uniform standing at the head of the table."

Kosu, thank you for coming," Tetsuo said, his voice grave.

"This is Thorn, an officer from City Hall.

He's the one overseeing the dungeon raid we need your help with."

Thorn stepped forward, his piercing gaze meeting Kosu's.

"We've been monitoring a dungeon on the outskirts of the city for some time.

It's been relatively dormant, but in the last week, we've seen a significant increase in monster activity, and the creatures seem to be growing stronger by the day."

Kosu felt a knot forming in the pit of his stomach.

"But Jinpei was in charge of that dungeon.

Where is he?"

Tetsuo shook his head solemnly.

"That's the problem, Kosu.

Jinpei has been missing for over a week now, and we have no idea where he is.

With the situation deteriorating, City Hall has decided to intervene and lead a raid to break the dungeon's core and bring it back under control."

Thorn stepped forward, his gaze unwavering.

"That's why we need your skills, Kosu.

You're one of the best dungeon explorers we have, and we need your expertise to help us navigate this dangerous situation."

Kosu's mind raced as he processed the information.

Jinpei was still missing, and now a critical dungeon was threatening the city's security.

He knew he couldn't refuse - he had to do something, anything, to help."

I'm in," he said without hesitation.

"But I'm not giving up on finding Jinpei.

We'll take care of this dungeon, and then I'm going to keep searching for him."

Thorn nodded, a hint of approval in his eyes.

"Very well.

Now, let's discuss the details of the raid..."

As the meeting progressed, Kosu found it increasingly difficult to focus on the strategic details.

His mind kept drifting back to Jinpei, consumed by worry and the desperate need to find his friend.Thorn's voice droned on, explaining the layout of the dungeon and the expected monster threats, but Kosu's attention was elsewhere.

Every time he tried to re-engage with the discussion, his thoughts would return to the same haunting question - where was Jinpei? The more Thorn and the others talked, the more Kosu felt his frustration mounting.

How could they expect him to strategize when his best friend was still missing?

He needed to be out there, searching, not sitting in this stuffy room listening to endless planning.Suddenly, Thorn paused and fixed Kosu with a piercing stare.

"Kosu, it seems your mind is elsewhere.

Do you have any thoughts to contribute to this discussion?"

Kosu felt his cheeks flush with embarrassment as all eyes turned towards him.

"I...

I'm sorry, I just can't stop thinking about Jinpei.

I need to find him, and I can't focus on anything else right now."

Tetsuo frowned, his brow furrowing with concern.

"Kosu, I understand your worry, but we need you focused if we're going to have any hope of securing this dungeon.

Jinpei would want you to do your part."

Kosu opened his mouth to protest, but Thorn raised a hand, silencing him."

Perhaps a demonstration of your skills would be in order," the military officer said, his tone measured.

"I'd like to see what you're capable of in a sparring match.

That might help refocus your mind on the task at hand."

Kosu's eyes narrowed, his competitive spirit stirring despite his distraction.

"Fine.

Let's do it."

As he followed Thorn out of the strategy room, Kosu couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of determination.

If this was what it took to prove his worth and get back on track, then so be it.

He would show Thorn, and the rest of them, that he was ready to take on this challenge, no matter what it took.

The spar

The Training Ground of the Guild was a vast, open expanse of land, its packed earth and scattered training dummies providing the perfect arena for the impending sparring match.Tetsuo and Sakura led the way, with Thorn and Kosu following close behind.

Kosu could feel the anticipation building within him, a familiar rush of adrenaline as he prepared to test his skills against this formidable opponent.Thorn cut an imposing figure, his light purple fur gleaming in the afternoon sun.

Donning a crisp police uniform, he exuded an air of authority and professionalism.

Kosu eyed the bow slung across the officer's back, knowing full well the devastating power it held.As they reached the center of the training ground, Thorn turned to face Kosu, his emerald eyes narrowing with focus."

Are you ready, Kosu?" the fox-like warrior asked, his voice calm and steady.Kosu took a deep breath, centering himself.

"I am," he replied, his own eyes hardening with determination.Tetsuo and Sakura stepped back, creating a wide berth for the impending battle.

Thorn wasted no time, his body blurring with a sudden burst of speed as he unleashed a volley of arrows, each one imbued with a gust of wind magic.Kosu reacted quickly, his feet dancing across the packed earth as he deftly evaded the projectiles.

But Thorn's control over the arrows was masterful, the wind magic allowing him to guide them, forcing Kosu to contort his body in ever-tighter maneuvers.Seizing a brief opening, Kosu gathered his power, feeling the familiar rush of Soul Charge coursing through his veins.

His muscles bulged, his speed and strength amplified to their peak. With a sudden burst of energy, Kosu launched himself forward, his blade cutting through the air in a powerful arc.

Thorn's reflexes were lightning-fast, however, and he intercepted the strike with his military-grade knife, the clang of steel on steel ringing out across the training ground. The two warriors engaged in a furious exchange of blows, their movements a blur as they traded strikes and parries.

Thorn's mastery of hand-to-hand combat was evident, his footwork and technique flawless, but Kosu's Soul Charge gave him a crucial edge in raw power.Sensing an opportunity, Kosu gathered his focus, unleashing a devastating Mind Slash – a powerful energy projection that streaked towards Thorn like a crescent-shaped blade. But Thorn was prepared, his wind magic creating a barrier that deflected the attack.

Kosu's eyes widened in surprise, and he barely had time to react as Thorn closed the distance, his knife flashing with deadly precision.Kosu felt the sting of the blade as it grazed his arm, but he refused to back down.

Summoning every ounce of his strength, he launched a series of relentless strikes, his blows raining down on Thorn with unbridled fury. The fox-like warrior met each attack with unwavering resolve, his footwork and parries flawless.

Thorn's experience and mastery of both ranged and close-quarters combat were proving to be a formidable challenge for Kosu, despite the young warrior's enhanced abilities.Sweat poured down Kosu's brow as he fought to maintain his offensive, but Thorn's defenses were unyielding.

Just when Kosu thought he had the upper hand, Thorn would slip past his guard, landing a precision strike that left him reeling. The battle raged on, neither warrior willing to concede defeat.

Tetsuo and Sakura watched in awe, their eyes wide as they witnessed the display of skill and power unfold before them.Sensing an opportunity, Thorn suddenly burst into a blur of motion, his hands reaching back to draw a volley of arrows from his quiver.

With a series of rapid-fire shots, he unleashed a barrage of projectiles, each one fueled by a surge of wind magic.Kosu's eyes widened as he saw the hail of arrows descending upon him.

Quickly, he went on the defensive, his blade becoming a blur as he deflected and parried the onslaught.

The air crackled with the sound of steel striking wood, and Kosu's feet danced across the packed earth, his movements nimble and precise.Just when Kosu thought he had the upper hand, Thorn let loose a single, precisely aimed arrow, the projectile streaking towards the young warrior's shoulder with unerring accuracy.Kosu tried to twist his body, but the arrow found its mark, pinning his arm to the ground.

Wincing in pain, Kosu struggled to free himself, but Thorn was already upon him, his knife glinting in the afternoon sun. With a swift, fluid motion, Thorn locked Kosu's remaining arm, the blade pressing firmly against the young warrior's throat.

Kosu froze, his chest heaving, his gaze locked with Thorn's.The fox-like warrior held his position for a moment, his eyes searching Kosu's.

Then, slowly, he eased the pressure of the blade, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth."

Well done, Kosu," Thorn said, his voice resonating with respect.

"You've shown me that you have the skill and determination to be a valuable asset to this mission.

And now, I believe I owe you an explanation."

Kosu stood there, his breathing slowly returning to normal as he listened intently, the pain in his shoulder a distant ache compared to the clarity of mind he now felt."

You see, Jinpei and I were once comrades in arms," Thorn continued, his expression softening.

"I know what he means to you, and I can assure you that he is a capable warrior.

He's out there, somewhere, and I have every confidence that he will be found."

Kosu felt a wave of relief wash over him, the tension in his body slowly dissipating.

The sparring match had not only proven his worth, but had also provided the clarity he so desperately needed."

Thank you, Thorn," Kosu said, his voice tinged with gratitude.

"I will be stronger, for his sake and for the success of this mission."

As they made their way back to the strategy room, Kosu's mind was filled with a renewed sense of purpose.

He would honor Jinpei's memory by becoming the best warrior he could be, and together, they would overcome the challenges that lay ahead.

Strategy meeting

The group quickly reconvened in the strategy room, the city officials and guild leaders already awaiting their return.

Sakura stepped forward, her eyes narrowed in concentration.

"The entry point to the dungeon is located deep within an ancient mining complex, known as the Blackstone Mines."

She gestured to a section of the map, highlighting the area in question.

"The mines themselves are a vast network of tunnels and caverns, carved out of the surrounding bedrock over centuries of relentless excavation."

Thorn stepped forward, his gaze steady.

"The City Hall has long been aware of the true nature of the Blackstone Dungeon.

It is not a self-contained environment, as we had previously assumed.

Rather, it is merely the entry point to a much larger and more dangerous realm."

Sakura nodded, her expression solemn.

"Thorn is correct.

It is within the lowest levels of the Blackstone Mines that we have discovered the dungeon gate – a portal that connects our world to the expansive ruins beyond."

Tetsuo, the Adventurer Guild Master, crossed his arms, his brow furrowed in thought.

"Based on the documents provided by the City Hall, this dungeon has been in dorminant states for many years.

They only spawn low level goblins and orcs, that serve the purpose of training young adventurers.

But what out scouts return back is very concerning."

Sakura's gaze hardened with determination.

"Our scouts have ventured through the gate and returned with disturbing reports.

Beyond the dungeon lies a vast, desolate wasteland, dotted with the crumbling remnants of ancient structures and civilizations.

The low level monsters are nowhere to be seen, but they found sights of hobgoblins and high orcs in a dozen number."

Thorn's lips thinned into a grim line.

"The City Hall has long studied the Blackstone Dungeon and the ruins it connects to.

We know that this is no ordinary dungeon, but a gateway to a world of ruin and untold dangers.

We keep the dungeon in check from time to time, but this is the first time something like this happened.

Something or someone must have tempted with the dungeon!"

Tetsuo nodded, his expression serious.

"Then we must secure the Blackstone Mines and the dungeon gate itself if we are to have any hope of regaining control over the situation.

If a dungeon break occurs, and all these high level monsters break out of the dungeon gate, it will be a disaster.

The fate of the entire region may hang in the balance."

The room fell silent as the gravity of the situation sank in.

Thorn's knowledge from the City Hall, combined with Sakura and Tetsuo's reconnaissance, had painted a clear picture of the challenges that lay ahead, and the group knew that success would hinge on their ability to navigate the treacherous terrain and uncover the true nature of the threat.Sakura's gaze swept across the gathered leaders.

"What's most concerning is that the monsters we've encountered in the ruins are far more powerful than anything we've seen before in the dungeon.

Many of them wield advanced weapons, including firearms, suggesting a level of intelligence and organization we've never witnessed in these creatures."

Thorn, the military officer, stepped forward, his expression grave.

"The delicate balance that once kept the dungeon in check has been disrupted, allowing these dangerous creatures to proliferate and spill out into the surrounding region."

Tetsuo, the Adventurer Guild Master, nodded in agreement.

"The situation has become dire, and we can no longer afford to simply react to the threats as they arise.

We must take decisive action to reclaim the dungeon and neutralize the source of this disturbance."

Thorn, nodded in agreement, his gaze sweeping across the assembled group.

"Given the severity of the situation, we cannot afford to simply focus on eliminating the immediate threats within the dungeon.

We must also uncover the root cause of this disturbance."

Tetsuo, agree with him.

"Thorn and I have devised a two-pronged approach that will allow us to address both the tactical and investigative aspects of this mission."

"The combat team, led by Thorn and Kosu, will spearhead the assault into the dungeon," Tetsuo explained, his years of experience shining through.

"Their primary objective will be to systematically eliminate the high-level monsters that have taken up residence, clearing a path for the scouting team to delve deeper."

Thorn stepped forward, his military expertise evident in the way he outlined the strategy.

"Simultaneously, Sakura's scouting team will explore the ruins and the dungeon itself, searching for clues as to what has caused the core to be tampered with and the balance of power to shift so dramatically."

"Both adventurers from the City Hall and the Guild will participate in this operation," Tetsuo added, his gaze sweeping across the room.

"The rewards will be distributed based on the materials and intelligence gathered from the dungeon, ensuring that all who contribute are fairly compensated."

Thorn's brow furrowed as he considered the logistical challenges.

"Establishing forward operating bases, maintaining supply lines, and ensuring effective communication between the teams will be crucial to the success of this mission.

We cannot afford any missteps or delays."

Tetsuo nodded, his hands clasped behind his back.

"Thorn and I have decades of experience in coordinating complex military operations.

We will leverage our expertise to ensure that every aspect of this plan is meticulously executed, from the initial deployment to the final push to neutralize the dungeon core."

As the details of the plan were finalized, the room grew tense with anticipation.

The combined knowledge and strategic acumen of Thorn and Tetsuo had shaped a comprehensive approach that promised to address the multifaceted challenges posed by the Blackstone Dungeon and the surrounding ruins.

Kosu's thought

Kosu's brow furrowed as he listened intently to Thorn and Sakura's tactical discussion.

As a seasoned frontline combatant, he understood the gravity of the situation they faced, but his skills had always been centered on raw physical prowess rather than military strategy.Unlike the others, Kosu had always been the one to charge headfirst into battle, relying on his powerful strikes and unyielding determination to overcome even the most formidable foes.

He took pride in his role as the vanguard, shielding his allies and paving the way for the more specialized fighters to unleash their devastating techniques. However, as Thorn outlined the complexities of navigating the ruins beyond the Blackstone Dungeon gate, Kosu couldn't help but feel a growing sense of unease.

His combat experience had always been focused on the immediate threats within the dungeon itself, not the unknown dangers that lurked in the desolate expanse beyond.Kosu's fingers tightened around the hilt of his sword, his knuckles turning white.

He knew he needed to speak up, to offer his unique perspective and skills to the group, but a nagging doubt lingered in the back of his mind.Earlier, he just had sparred with Thorn, and had been soundly defeated.

Despite his best efforts, he had been unable to land a single decisive blow, his attacks deflected and countered with ease.

The realization that his raw physical prowess alone might not be enough to overcome the challenges that lay ahead weighed heavily on him.As the strategy meeting drew to a close, Kosu couldn't help but feel a sense of both relief and trepidation.

The group had agreed that they would launch the assault on the Blackstone Dungeon in one week's time, a timeline that was as urgent as it was daunting.Kosu knew that this brief respite would be essential for ensuring the success of their mission.

The others would use this time to gather vital intelligence, fortify their supplies, and coordinate the logistics of the operation.

However, for Kosu, this week represented a crucial opportunity to address his own shortcomings. After the others had dispersed, Kosu approached Thorn, the seasoned military tactician whose skills had so thoroughly overwhelmed him during their earlier sparring session.

Squaring his shoulders, Kosu met Thorn's gaze with a newfound determination."

Thorn, I know that my expertise lies more in the realm of frontal assault than in the intricacies of strategy and warfare," Kosu said, his voice steady and resolute.

"But I cannot afford to let my weaknesses hold the group back.

In the week before we depart, I intend to focus all of my efforts on training and strengthening myself, both physically and mentally."

Thorn listened in silence, his expression unreadable, and Kosu pressed on.

"I understand that my lack of strategic knowledge may have been a handicap during our discussions today, but I am determined to remedy that.

I will study the terrain, the enemy's known tactics, and anything else that can help me better anticipate and overcome the challenges we will face."

Kosu's hands clenched into fists at his sides, his knuckles turning white.

"And as for my combat abilities, I will push myself to the limits of my endurance, honing my skills and ensuring that I am a reliable and formidable asset to the team.

I may not be a master strategist, but I can promise you that I will be a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield."

Thorn regarded Kosu for a long moment, and then a faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

"I admire your determination, Kosu," he said, placing a hand on the younger man's shoulder.

"This week will be crucial, not just for our mission, but for your own growth as a warrior.

Use this time wisely, and I have no doubt that you will emerge stronger than ever before."

Kosu nodded, his expression resolute.

"I won't let you down, Thorn.

I won't let any of you down.

When we step into that dungeon, you'll see just how much I've grown."

With a renewed sense of purpose, Kosu turned and strode away, his mind already racing with plans for his intense week of preparation.

He was determined to prove his worth, not just to his companions, but to himself – and he would spare no effort in doing so.

Extra: Reminiscene

As Thorn watched Kosu stride away, a thoughtful expression settled over his weathered features.

The young warrior's determination had not gone unnoticed, and Thorn couldn't help but be reminded of his own youthful days, when his focus had been solely on honing his physical prowess.Thorn's mind drifted back to his time as a cadet at the military academy, when he had first crossed paths with Jinpei, the esteemed mage from the neighboring magic school.

Back then, Thorn had been a hothead, driven by an insatiable desire to prove his strength in battle. When the annual bout between the two institutions had been announced, Thorn had been itching for the opportunity to showcase his skills.

He had charged into the fray, his eyes narrowed with determination, intent on overwhelming his opponent with sheer physical might. The air crackled with tension as the annual bout between the military academy and the magic school commenced.

All eyes were trained on the arena, where the combatants from each institution faced off, each determined to prove the superiority of their respective disciplines.Thorn, the rising star of the military academy, strode onto the field, his muscular frame radiating power and confidence.

As the matches began, it quickly became clear that Thorn's physical prowess was in a league of its own.

One by one, his opponents fell before him, their attempts to land a decisive blow thwarted by Thorn's lightning-fast reflexes and overwhelming strength.Spectators watched in awe as Thorn made short work of each challenger, his victories coming in a matter of mere minutes.

The mages from the opposing school could only watch in frustration, their spells seemingly ineffective against Thorn's brute force. As the competition wore on, Thorn's confident smirk only grew more pronounced.

He reveled in the sheer domination he was displaying, taunting his magical counterparts with every opportunity."

Is that the best you can do?" he would jeer, dodging a volley of spells with contemptuous ease.

"Your so-called magic is nothing but cheap tricks!

How can you hope to stand against the might of the sword?"

The mages bristled at Thorn's condescending remarks, their pride wounded by his dismissal of their craft.

But try as they might, they simply could not find a way to break through his impenetrable defenses. Finally, the tournament reached its climactic final round, and Thorn found himself face to face with Jinpei, the renowned mage from the magic school.

Unlike his fellow combatants, Jinpei did not possess the flashy, ostentatious displays of magical prowess that Thorn had come to expect.

His movements were measured, his expression calm and composed.Thorn's eyes narrowed as he sized up his opponent, his bravado only thinly veiling the hint of uncertainty that had crept into his mind.

"So, the great Jinpei graces us with his presence," he sneered.

"Let's see if your pathetic magic can withstand the true power of the sword."

Without waiting for a response, Thorn launched himself forward, his blade arcing through the air in a devastating strike.

But to his surprise, Jinpei met the attack with a simple, fluid motion, deflecting the blow with effortless grace.Thorn's eyes widened in disbelief as he watched Jinpei counter with a series of precise, measured spells – each one striking with pinpoint accuracy, chipping away at his defenses.

Try as he might, Thorn found himself struggling to maintain his advantage, his frustration mounting with every passing moment."

Impossible!" he cried, his voice laced with desperation.

"How can a mere mage stand against the might of the sword?"

Jinpei's lips curled into a serene smile as he met Thorn's gaze.

"The true strength lies not in brute force, my friend," he said, "but in the discipline of the mind.

You have much to learn."

With those words, Jinpei unleashed a devastating magical assault, overwhelming Thorn's defenses and securing a decisive victory.

As the young warrior fell to his knees, his world-view shattered, he knew that he had been humbled by a power far greater than he had ever imagined.Thorn had been baffled by his loss, unable to comprehend how his raw strength had been so thoroughly outmatched.

It was then that Jinpei had approached him, offering a gentle yet insightful critique of Thorn's fighting style."

You possess great power, my friend," Jinpei had said, "but true strength lies not only in the body, but in the mind as well.

You must learn to temper your aggression with strategy, to anticipate your opponent's moves and adapt accordingly."

Thorn had bristled at the advice, his pride wounded, but as the years passed, he had come to understand the wisdom in Jinpei's words.

He had dedicated himself to honing both his physical and mental prowess, studying tactics and strategic planning alongside his relentless training regimen. It was this well-rounded approach that had ultimately made Thorn and Jinpei an unstoppable duo on the battlefield, their complementary skills and strategies proving to be a formidable combination. Now, as Thorn watched Kosu's retreating form, he couldn't help but see echoes of his younger self in the young warrior.

Kosu's fiery determination and singular focus on frontal assault were all too familiar, and Thorn knew that the path ahead would not be an easy one.But Thorn also recognized the spark of self-awareness that had ignited within Kosu – the realization that his strengths, while impressive, were not enough to overcome the challenges they faced.

And it was this acknowledgment of his own weaknesses that set Kosu apart from Thorn's former self, filling the seasoned tactician with a renewed sense of hope."

You've taken the first step, Kosu," Thorn murmured to himself, a hint of pride in his voice.

"Now, let us see how far you can go."

With a resolute nod, Thorn turned and strode away, already formulating a plan to guide and support Kosu in his transformation.

The fate of their world hung in the balance, and Thorn was determined to ensure that Kosu emerged from this crucible as the true warrior he was capable of becoming.

Blackstone Dungeon

The week of preparation flew by in a blur.

The Adventurer's Guild was abuzz with activity as Thorn, Kosu, and Sakura finalized the plan for the Blackstone Dungeon raid.

The maximum number of people allowed to enter the dungeon at one time was ten, so they had divided themselves into two teams of five.Thorn and Kosu had carefully selected their teams, each comprising four skilled adventurers.

Additionally, two members from the scouting team would be joining them to provide intel and tactical support.

Thorn would be leading one team, composed of himself, two experienced fighters, a mage, and a rogue.

Kosu's team mirrored Thorn's, with the addition of one of the scouting team members to provide intel and tactical support."

Alright, listen up," Thorn said, addressing the assembled group.

"Kosu and I will take our teams through the dungeon gate.

Sakura, you'll be staying here to coordinate logistics and provide support as needed."

Sakura nodded, her expression serious.

"Understood.

I'll have potions, scrolls, and other supplies ready to send down if you need them.

Just be careful in there - we don't know what you'll be facing."

Thorn cleared his throat.

"The scouting team has reported that the dungeon gate leads to two different locations.

One is a barren wasteland, where the natural hazards may pose more of a threat than any monsters.

The other is a dense, maze-like forest, home to goblins and orcs."

"We'll need to split up once we're through the gate," Thorn said.

"Kosu, your team will take the forest path.

My team will explore the wasteland.

Keep in constant communication, and don't hesitate to call for backup if you run into trouble."

The adventurers nodded, a mix of nervousness and determination on their faces.

They knew the risks, but they were ready to face them head-on.With a final nod, Thorn and Kosu led their teams out of the guild and towards the Blackstone Mines, the gateway to the mysterious and ominous dungeon that lay waiting for them. After a few hours of travel, the group gathered at the entrance to the Blackstone Mines, the gateway to the mysterious dungeon.

The mines were a stark, foreboding sight - thick veins of black stone jutted from the earth, casting long shadows over the winding path that led deeper underground. As Thorn, Kosu, and their teams approached the entrance, the sense of neglect and decay was palpable.

Rusted tracks and decaying timbers lined the path, once bustling with the sounds of pickaxes and the rumble of mining carts.

Now, only an eerie silence reigned, broken only by the occasional scuttling of unseen creatures. The massive iron doors that guarded the main entrance bore the scars of years of disuse - the once-imposing mechanisms now creaked and groaned as they swung open, revealing the yawning darkness that lay beyond.Kosu couldn't help but feel a shiver of unease as he peered into the inky blackness of the abandoned mines.

The air was thick with the stale scent of stagnation, a far cry from the vibrant, bustling atmosphere he had heard described in the old stories."

This place has been left to rot for far too long," Thorn muttered, his brow furrowed as he took in the desolate scene.

"Who knows what horrors might have taken root in the depths below."

Sakura, who had remained behind to coordinate the operation, let out a heavy sigh.

"Just be careful, you two.

The Waritz ore may no longer be valuable, but this dungeon is still a dangerous place.

Keep your wits about you."

Thorn and Kosu exchanged a solemn look, understanding the gravity of the task before them.

With a nod, they led their teams forward, plunging into the darkness of the abandoned Blackstone Mines, the gateway to the mysterious and ominous dungeon that lay waiting."

Stay alert, everyone," Thorn said, gripping his bow tightly.

"We don't know what we're up against in there."

The teams set off, their footsteps echoing against the cavernous walls of the mines.

The Blackstone Mines had once been a bustling hub of activity, the lifeblood of the local economy.

Generations of miners had toiled deep underground, extracting the precious Waritz ore that was the region's primary resource. But those days were long gone now.

The mines had been abandoned for years, ever since the shift towards cleaner energy sources had made the black, jagged stones of Waritz obsolete.

The towering mine shafts and sprawling network of tunnels now stood silent and empty, a testament to the passage of time. The air grew colder and more stale the further they descended, until finally they reached a massive set of iron doors - the entrance to the Blackstone Dungeon. As Thorn and Kosu's teams approached the massive iron doors of the Blackstone Dungeon, a sense of trepidation hung in the air.

The adventurers knew that beyond those threshold lay a realm unlike anything they had encountered before. When the doors creaked open, a shimmering portal of energy was revealed - a dimensional gateway that seemed to bend the very fabric of reality.

Peering through the swirling vortex, the teams could catch glimpses of the two distinct realms that lay beyond. To the left, a barren, desolate wasteland stretched out as far as the eye could see.

Jagged rock formations and lifeless, cracked earth gave the landscape an unnatural, unsettling feel.

The air itself seemed to shimmer with heat, and a sense of unease permeated the scene.Shifting their gaze to the right, the adventurers beheld a dense, maze-like forest.

Towering, twisted trees blotted out the sun, casting the entire area in an eerie, perpetual twilight.

The unnatural stillness was almost palpable, as if the very forest was holding its breath, waiting for the unwary to wander in.Thorn and Kosu exchanged a solemn look, each understanding the gravity of the task before them.

With a deep breath, they turned to their respective teams."

Remember, stay alert and communicate constantly," Thorn said, his voice firm.

"We don't know what awaits us on the other side, but we're ready for it."

Kosu nodded in agreement.

"May the gods watch over us all.

Let's move out."

As one, the two teams stepped through the shimmering portal, leaving the relative safety of the Blackstone Mines behind and plunging into the unknown realms that lay beyond.Sakura, who had remained on the surface to coordinate support and logistics, could only hope that her comrades would emerge from the Blackstone Dungeon unscathed.

For now, all she could do was wait and pray.
